Move into new custom built factory at 25 Montgomery Road, Judea, Tauranga, with a staff of 10.

The two Tauranga boatbuilders, Alloy Boats and Kingfisher Boats merged to form Alloy Marine Ltd. This allowed the two companies to better utilise their staff and broaden the range of boats being built. Alloy Boats had specialised in houseboats and catamarans, Kingfisher Boats in production trailer boats.
